Submit a report
An employee puts together an expense report and submits it. It goes to an approver.
Ingrid Expenses is in early access and available to selected customers. Employees submit expense reports, an approver reviews them, and an approved report posts to Spire after a person confirms.
An expense report moves from the employee to an approver, and from the approver into Spire only when someone confirms it.
Reports flow one way: submitted, approved, confirmed, posted.
Each item below is built and available in early access.
Employees submit their own expense reports for approval.
Every submitted report goes to an approver before anything else happens.
Admins choose, for each expense category, the account and tax code it posts to, picking from your live chart of accounts.
An approved report posts to Spire only after a person confirms it. If the employee is not yet a vendor in Spire, Ingrid creates the vendor when you confirm.
Submitting, approving and confirming are separate steps, and the coding is set up ahead of time.

For every expense category, pick the account and the tax code from your live chart of accounts. The same choice applies to every report.
When a person confirms an approved report, it posts to Spire. If the employee is not yet a vendor there, Ingrid creates the vendor at that moment.
